Snake on a plane forces emergency landing

A pilot has been forced to make an emergency landing after a passenger was bitten by a snake concealed in his luggage.

The EgyptAir flight, bound for Kuwait, landed at Hurghada after crew were alerted to the incident by the Jordanian passenger’s screams.

The victim was immediately taken off the plane for medical treatment, with local authorities confiscating the snake.

It’s not the first time a snake has found its way onto an aircraft – earlier this year the Scottish SPCA were called after Glasgow airport staff found a stowaway reptile under seats on a flight from Cancun, Mexico.
