The body representing the UK’s bosses are calling for a freeze in Air Passenger Duty in tomorrow’s Autumn Statement.
The Institute of Directors (IoD) wants Chancellor George Osborne to overhaul the UK tax system.
Specifically the IoD is loooking to see APD and road fuel duty rates frozen in cash terms.
This would allow them to diminish in real terms over the coming years.
An allowance should be introduced against APD for the impact of the EU Emissions Trading Scheme, according to the IoD.
