Post-Christmas Cosmos campaign aims to increase brand awareness

Cosmos Holidays is launching its biggest marketing campaign in more than five years after Christmas.

Starting on December 27, the campaign aims to increase awareness of the Cosmos brand after research showed that consumer awareness was lower than expected given how long the operator has been in business.

The campaign will cover radio, press, social media and websites and will be supported through online search. The advertising and marketing will direct customers to book through agents or on the Cosmos website, telling customers why they should book through Cosmos.

Cosmos marketing and commercial director Phil Boggon said: “Customer research carried out this year confirmed very positive feelings towards the brand, but spontaneous awareness was lower than it should be given our 51-year trading history.”

He added: “This is a major ramp-up in our marketing spend, and represents our biggest brand investment in years. Cosmos Holidays has continually outperformed the market for the last two years and there is now a real opportunity to build on this performance to drive further growth ahead.”
