SAS is introducing two new onboard service options in Europe this summer – SAS Go and SAS Plus.
SAS Go includes a checked bag at no extra charge, coffee or tea onboard, as well as mobile check-in.
SAS Plus includes two checked bags at no extra charge, SAS Fast Track, lounge access, meals and drinks onboard as well as twice the number of EuroBonus frequent flyer points.
Traditional in-flight food will be replaced with a café-style range for all passengers.
They are being introduced in June as part of the Scandinavian carrier’s ‘4Excellence’ restructuring which has led to job cuts, outsourcing and new collective agreements with cabin crew.
SAS president and chief executive Rickard Gustafson said: “We want to make travelling easier for our customers. And this includes SAS Go and SAS Plus. For SAS simplicity is when customers receive exactly what they need.
“When we were developing this new concept, we based on our work on our customer needs rather than on industry standards.”
