VisitBritain in family-friendly push after royal birth

VisitBritain is to push the UK as a family-friendly destination following the birth of the royal baby yesterday.

The tourist office released details of royal-related travel ideas in the US following the birth of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s son.

VisitBritain is offering suggestions of where visitors can take in royal sights – such as Kensington Palace, Buckingham Palace and Sandringham in Norfolk – and the best of family-friendly Britain.

Chief executive Sandi Dawe said on her Twitter feed that the arrival of the royal baby “gives us chance to promote family-friendly Britain”.
