EasyJet is expected to report booming peak summer sales this week on the back of holidaymakers heading to weak eurozone countries such as Spain and Portugal.
Alicante, Malaga and Faro have been among the most popular destinations served by the budget carrier.
The figures to be released this week are expected to be comparable with last August when ticket sales boomed after a slow start in the first half of the month as business picked up after the London Olympic Games, the Mail on Sunday reported.
The airline is believed to have carried a record 6 million passengers this August, with numbers tipped to show a rise of more than 2% with an average load factor of almost 92%.
