Business Travel ’99 organisers have signed up 65 suppliers to attend its north of England regional exhibition in October, almost twice the number of exhibitors at last year’s event.
The exhibition, which was held in Manchester for the first time last year, will be held at larger premises at the city’s G-MEX Exhibition Centre, to cater for the increase in exhibitors and visitors.
Exhibition director Alastair Spurr said:”This is an essential event for business travel managers, buyers and arrangers based in the north of England and Scotland.
“The move to G-MEXhas enabled us to attract more airlines, hotels, car-rental companies and business travel management agencies. All exhibition space is now sold out so visitors will have many new products and services to see and discuss.”
Among exhibitors will be British Airways, BTIUK, ForteHotels, Galileo UK, Lufthansa and Virgin Atlantic Airways.
New suppliers include American Express Corporate Services, Delta Air Lines, Hertz, Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, Sheraton and Westin Hotels and Virgin Trains. The exhibition will include a full seminar programme covering a wide range of subjects from a travel planners master-class to how to negotiate the best business deals.
Last year’s exhibition drew visitors with an annual total business travel spend of over £1bn.
The Business Travel ’99 Manchester exhibition will take place on October 13 and 14. Tickets are free if booked in advance by phoning the ticket hotline on 020-8710 2174.
