Thomson adds ‘Couples’ resorts in Menorca and Majorca

Three new Thomson Couples resorts in Menorca and Majorca are being added for next summer.

The Couples collection will be further expanded for winter 2014/15 with the Medina Gardens in Marrakesh and Couples Sousse in Tunisia.

Sister brand First Choice is expanding its SplashWorld portfolio with the addition of the Olympic Park in Costa Brava for summer 2014 with six swimming pools, a sports club, spa, a range of restaurants and free Wi-Fi.

All rooms at the hotel are being renovated and a new mini splash park is being built in the grounds.

Guests also have unlimited free access to the Waterworld Lloret waterpark, five minutes away from the hotel.

Properties in Tunisia and Turkey join the recently launched First Choice SuneoClub collection for next summer – The Club Tropicana, Tunisia and Mirage World, Dalaman.

The village of Luosto is being added to Thomson’s Lapland programme for winter 2014-15.

As well as the traditional three and four-night stays, the operator will also be introducing five-night stays over Christmas.

The newly redesigned programme introduces four new wedding venues in Turkey, including the Sensatori Resort in Side.

Other additions to the short and mid-haul weddings programme include five new locations in Greece – Corfu, Skiathos and Kos – as well as new wedding settings in Cyprus, which continues to be the most popular destination.

Product director Mark Hall said: “We know our customers want unique holiday experiences designed around them and we are looking forward to welcoming guests in to more properties than ever before in our exclusive Thomson Couples and Thomson Sensatori collections, and First Choice SuneoClub and SplashWorld resorts amongst others.

“And what makes things even better for 2014 is that we are raising the bar – we don’t believe free Wi-Fi is a luxury, and that’s why we are now offering it free of charge at all of our key hotels.”
