The number of passengers using Heathrow edged up by just 0.6% to 5.4 million in November over the same month last year.
Those travelling to and from Bric countries were up by 5.5%, with China up 15.9%, India up 6.7% and Brazil up 4.5%
Seats per aircraft increased 1.5%, whilst load factors dropped 2.6 percentage points on last year, to 70.2%. Passengers per aircraft declined by 2.1% to 142.
Heathrow chief executive Colin Matthews said: “Passenger numbers grew less strongly in November than in previous months.
“Nevertheless continued good performance to Bric countries underlines the importance of direct flights to growing economies.”
