Former Humberside airport head of travel sales Amanda George is joining Newmarket Holidays as regional charter manager.
She will work alongside the operator’s regional charter sales director Alison Keeble, who will be reducing her workload during 2014.
Keeble has headed the company’s programme since 2001.
George has held various roles at Manchester Airport Group including aviation manager for the regional airports of East Midlands, Bournemouth and Humberside.
Prior to joining Humberside airport George had experience working within the retail travel trade.
She said: “Having worked with Newmarket for over a decade, I am more than aware of the high standards of the company’s regional airport charter programme, and am really excited to be involved with its future development, especially working alongside Alison, who I have known for many years.”
Newmarket operates special charter flights to European destinations, including Naples, Verona, Oporto and Dubrovnik, as well as Lapland day trips.
