Heathrow registered the most cancelled flights last year while while Frankfurt topped the list for delayed flights, according to new research.
Gatwick, Manchester and Stansted ranked second, fourth and ninth for most delayed flights in 2013.
Air passenger rights expert refund.me compiled the data from processing claims from more than 400 airports across 100 countries and against 230 airlines.
Heathrow was ranked as the number one airport for flight cancellations in 2013; however, no other UK airport ranked in the top 10 for cancellations.
Munich’s Franz Josef Strauss airport came a close second, followed by Frankfurt, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Brussels, Barcelona, Hamburg, Amsterdam, Dusseldorf and Berlin.
But Gatwick ranked second behind only Frankfurt for flights delays. Antalya in Turkey followed in third position followed closely by Manchester. Dusseldorf, Palma, Barcelona and Madrid came in next, with Stansted in ninth position followed by Charles de Gaulle.
London City was the most on-time airport in the UK with an average delay through September 2013 of less than 7 minutes.
