TRADE representatives from the South Pacific Islands are expected to attend the Pacific Asia Travel Association’s London Showcase for the first time this year.
They will be promoting the Cook Islands, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Tahiti, Tonga and the Solomon Islands, among others, and are planning to be in the UK in September for a promotional visit, as well as the London Showcase. The event will take place at the Intercontinental Hotel, Hyde Park, on September 9 from 4pm-10pm.
PATA executive director David Arscott said a total of 50-60 exhibitors from the Pacific-Asia region would be attending the showcase. “In addition, there is a strong possibility there will be representation from the South Pacific for the first time,” he added.
The event is expected to attract 1,000 buyers for whom entry is free. In the past it has been held at the Marriott hotel in Grosvenor Gardens, but Arscott said PATA is planning to try a new venue this year.
