FRENCH cruiseline Compagnie des Iles due Ponant has hiked prices by around 5% in its new brochure for 2000. The brochure features itineraries for its two vessels Le Ponant and Le Levant.
The lead-in price on the 90-passenger Le Levant is £2,525 per person for a nine-night fly cruise out of Guadeloupe.
A 17-night cruise to the Upper Amazon starts at £4,965.
Meanwhile, Le Ponant, which has a capacity of 64 passengers, is operating nine and 10-night Mediterranean itineraries from £2,250.
The prices include flights, wine with lunch and dinner, watersports. However, they no longer include basic gratuities.
