Atlyn Forde has been named as acting UK and Europe marketing director for the St Lucia Tourist Board, taking over from Jean-Marc Flambert from July 7.
She has worked as assistant marketing director for three years and was previously head of communications at the British Airline Pilots’ Association.
Flambert has led the tourist board in the UK for almost four years.
Forde said “I have true passion for Saint Lucia, have gained extensive experience and look forward to building on and maintaining the great successes we have already achieved.”
Tourism director Louis Lewis said: “I have every confidence that Atlyn will oversee these markets effectively and with a level of commitment that will support the board’s overall growth objectives.”
Flambert said: “I have been privileged to work with a great team and for an amazing destination.
“I would like to thank the trade who made my time enjoyable and who worked hard to grow room nights and revenue into the island. We have had fun and we have been innovative during difficult times. I have every confidence that Atlyn will drive the destination to new successes during this next phase.”
