Thomas Cook has confirmed that UK finance director Nigel Arthur has left the business.
Arthur joined Cook as director of shared services UK & Ireland in January 2013 and moved to his latest role in February 2013. He previously worked at Heineken and Diageo.
A Thomas Cook spokesman said Arthur had been replaced by commercial director Paul Hemingway.
Hemingway was previously finance director for travel at The Co-operative Group before becoming chief finance officer for the joint venture.
Deborah Aylward, head of supplier relations, has also left the company. The spokesman said her responsibilities had been split between other managers for the moment.
He told Travel Weekly: “This is business as usual. In a big organisation people and roles change. We thank all the people who have contributed to the success of Thomas Cook and now there are opportunities for new people to join the business or for internal promotions – we have a lot of talent.”
Aylward had been with Thomas Cook since 1986, when she joined as a retail store manager.
