Emirates is reported to have cancelled an order for 70 of Airbus’s A350 wide-bodied aircraft.
Airbus said the cancellation had followed “ongoing discussions with the airline in light of their fleet requirement review”.
The Dubai-based carrier placed 50 orders in 2007 for the A350-900 and 20 for the A350-1000, with deliveries due from 2019.
UK engine maker Rolls-Royce said the cancellation would lead to a £2.6 billion hit to its order book, the BBC reported.
