Tour de France causes London City disruption

Passengers using London City Airport have been warned of disruption today due to the Tour de France coming to London.

Travellers using the airport are being urged to use the Docklands Light Railway to reached the airport.

“London City Airport has been working closely with Transport for London and Tour partners to maintain road access for as long as possible on the day,” the airport said.

“Significant road closures” are expected in east London from 10am to 6pm with the event expected to attract huge crowds.

London City said: “If you have to drive, allow extra time for your journey. Traffic marshals will be on hand to guide road users along the diversions and towards the airport.”
