An investment of £1.2 million in Leeds Bradford International Airport has led to the introduction of various improvement works, including new car park and shuttle buses.
Following construction of the £11 million passenger terminal development in 2012, the airport now has new, larger buses for passenger transfers with extra luggage and seating space.
Improvement works to the terminal front layout allow buses to drop off and pick up passegers at a new bus stop at the terminal front door, the closest such service of any major UK airport.
The bus route to and from the car park has also been redesigned and shortened, and the journey time from the long stay car park to the terminal is faster and more regular.
New bus shelters with colour-coded signage will now help passengers easily identify their parking zone, while 500 additional long stay car parking spaces have been created to meet increased demand for safe, secure and on-site car parking.
Inside the terminal, the departures area has been upgraded to provide more space to improve further the passenger journey through the airport.
A new channel to security has been created, with the access point separated from the check-in areas to simplify the customer process and ease access.
