Ryanair is to open a base in Bratislava in March, the Irish budget carrier’s first full-time operation in the Slovakian capital.
The airline said two aircraft would be based at the airport, while it predicted 16 routes would bring 1 million passengers every year.
Of the 60 scheduled flights, one will be a new three-times-a-week service to Madrid.
The only daily flights are to Dublin and London Stansted (double daily).
Ryanair said its €200 million investment would support 1,000 on-site jobs.
To mark the opening of the facility, the carrier released 100,000 seats at €19.99 for flights until the end of February.
