Air Mauritius has appointed Chris Gilbert as regional manager for UK and Ireland as part of a worldwide reorganisation. His first task at the airline will be to recruit a senior sales team.
Karen Rogers has joined London’s Millennium Britannia Mayfair Hotel as director of sales and marketing to head up the 10-strong sales team.
British Midland has appointed Will Lofberg to the position of industry affairs manager reporting to general manager, Tony Davis. He will be responsible for co-ordinating relationships with governments, trade and regulatory bodies.
Linda Stuart has left Southern Africa Travel where she was general manager to take up the same post at African specialist Rainbow Tours. Stuart will spearhead the company’s planned expansion into Latin America.
London’s Montcalm Hotel Nikko has promoted Vibeke Larsen to director of sales and marketing. She was previously European sales manager for the New York-based Essex House Hotel Nikko.
Glenn Carroll has been appointed director of sales and marketing at the Shaw Park Plaza Hotel in London which is due to open in September 1999.
