n royal olympic reveals maiden voyager cruise



Royal Olympic Cruises has announced its new ship, Olympic Voyager, will undertake its maiden cruise to Greece, Egypt, Israel and Turkey on June 23 2000. The 25,000t ship will have a capacity of 840 passengers.



n P&O stena announces millennium details



P&O Stena Line is cutting back its cross-Channel sailings over the millennium period. The last sailing from Dover to Calais on December 31 will be at 4pm, and the last return at 7.15pm. No more crossings take place until the 7.45am on January 1 2000. Normal services resume on January 2.



n IOMSPC REPORTS 10% rise in traffic for may



The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company has reported a 10% rise in passengers between the UK and the Isle of Man in May to more than 55,200 compared to the same month last year. This follows a 31% leap to 51,350 for April. The rises have been attributed to the introduction of the SeaCat fast craft between Liverpool and Douglas in April.
