Baldwins Travel buys seventh agency in Kent

Kent-based agency Baldwins Travel has bought Grace Travel of Cranbrook in Kent, taking its number of retail outlets in the county to seven.


An Advantage Travel Partnership member, Baldwins Travel announced the acquisition of Grace Travel for an undisclosed sum.


Grace Travel is a member of the Association of Independent Tour Operators (Aito) specialist travel agents’ group.


Baldwins already has shops in Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge, Maidstone and Uckfield in Kent and owns Sevenoaks Travel and Travelux of Tenterden in Kent.


The company holds a Small Business Atol under the Civil Aviation Authority’s licensing scheme for travel organisers.


Baldwins chairman Ron Marks won a Travel Weekly Agents’ Achievement Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Industry in 2013.
