Princess Cruises will sail its biggest-ever Alaska season in 2026, featuring eight ships, 180 departures and 19 destinations.
The upcoming Star Princess, the second Sphere Class ship following Sun Princess, will sail its first summer season in the region after launching in autumn 2025.
Princess Cruises president John Padgett said 2026 would “reinforce Princess’ leadership in Alaska cruises”.

He added: “The deployment of the magnificent Star Princess to Alaska for the first time will offer guests unprecedented views, luxurious accommodation and the finest food, beverages and entertainment ever seen in the Great Land. Our guests will experience Alaska like never before aboard our innovative Sphere Class ship.”
Sailings, which will depart from five ports, include the seven-night Voyage of the Glaciers itinerary offered by Discovery Princess, Grand Princess, Coral Princess and Island Princess, taking in views of two Alaska glaciers.
These can also be turned into a 14-night Voyage of the Glaciers Grand Adventure.
Inside Passage sailings, with durations spanning from seven to 20 nights, offer up to four glacier-viewing experiences.
Shore excursions include ‘Cook My Catch’ fishing for dinner, a helicopter ride and whale-watching.
Bookings for the 2026 Alaska season open on August 1 with the ‘Best Price Guarantee’ offer.
Details of the programme were released in the same week that the cruise line confirmed major aspects of Sun Princess’ Park19 had been scrapped. The RollGlider, Coastal Climb and Ropes Course features will no longer be opening.
“We are actively evaluating these areas for future recreational opportunities to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all our guests,” a spokesperson said.
