To be given a place in the Riviera draw, agents must book any holiday with the operator until September 13. The winner will be announced on September 16 on the Riviera travel agent Facebook group.

Vicky Billing, head of trade and partnerships at Riviera, said: “We pride ourselves on being the most trade-friendly brand in the sector, so it made perfect sense to launch this amazing incentive on a day when we celebrate the hard work and dedication of agents.

“The opportunity to experience the iconic Danube on our new ship Riviera Radiance is one not to be missed.”

To enter the P&O Cruises competition, agents must visit the P&O Cruises travel agent Facebook page and comment on the National Travel Agent Day post. Winners will be selected and announced on September 9.

P&O Cruises sales director Ruth Venn said: “Travel agents have always played a vital role in the success of our business, and their knowledge and passion for the holiday industry doesn’t go unnoticed.

“I started my career as a travel agent as did a number of my team, so it’s really important to us that we say thank you and dedicate a day to celebrate their year-round achievements.”

Shine Rewards Club is P&O Cruises’ loyalty and rewards programme for travel agents, with points awarded for every Select Price booking made.

Shine points can be redeemed against a number of retailers or used to book travel agents’ own P&O Cruises sailing.

Natasha Marson, easyJet holidays’ head of trade distribution, added: “National Travel Agents Day exists to commemorate travel agents up and down the country, shining a spotlight on all those delivering brilliant package holidays to thousands of customers.

“We want to thank all our agent partners for their continued support throughout the peak summer period with an opportunity to take a well-deserved break with easyJet holidays.”

Visit Malta is running a competition offering a pair of return tickets to the destination courtesy of KM Airlines.

Travel agents can view the rules on Visit Malta’s trade Facebook group or in its newsletters, with the deadline for entry being midnight on Sunday, September 8.

The winner will be drawn and announced on the Facebook group on Monday, September 9. Tickets will be valid for travel until April 31, 2025, though blackout periods will apply.

In addition to the competition, representatives from Visit Malta and KM Airlines are visiting travel agencies in Surrey and East Sussex today (September 6) to personally pass on their thanks for promoting Malta.

Tolene van der Merwe, UK and Ireland director for Visit Malta, said: “This National Travel Agent Day, we wanted to do something special to show our appreciation, and we look forward to thanking many of our agents in person.”

Hyatt Inclusive Collection is marking National Travel Agent Day by offering a seven-night stay for two at the Hyatt Vivid Grand Island in Cancun.

To register a booking, agents must send an email to filipa@carahotelmarketing.com and include the booking reference, lead name, resort, tour operator and the agent’s Abta number.

Flights are not included, blackout dates apply and the prize is subject to hotel availability.
