A new route to the Greek island of Zante has been launched by easyJet from Liverpool.
The service brings the number of routes served by the budget carrier from the Merseyside airport up to 30, having carried more than one million passengers from Liverpool last year.
The airline expects to fly 6,000 passengers a year on the weekly service.
Fares on the Liverpool to Zante route start at £33.99 one-way.
The carrier’s UK commercial manager, Ali Gayward, said: “Our Greek routes are proving extremely popular for those who wish to get some easy and affordable summer sun, and we’re sure that our new route and 30th destination from Liverpool will be a success.”
Liverpool John Lennon Airport air service development director, Mark Povall, added: ”Zakynthos [Zante] is a great summer holiday destination and this new service now gives passengers from across the region the added convenience of being able to fly direct from their local airport.
“This new service will see increased numbers of passengers travelling from Liverpool in 2015 and a further growth in easyJet operations here.”
