Ambassador Cruise Line has appointed Peter Green to the newly created role of strategic accounts manager.
Green started in the position on January 6 and will be responsible for “deepening relationships” with key clients, generating new business opportunities, coordinating activity for marketing opportunities and trade events and expanding the company’s footprint.
He will report into Karen Cameron, the no-fly cruise line’s deputy head of trade.
Most recently, Green was a business development manager at Inside Travel Group and prior to that was a trade trainer for the Malta Tourism Authority, with previous roles at Arena Travel, Thomas Cook and Flight Centre.
Nicola Harper, Ambassador Cruise Line’s head of distribution, said: “As the UK cruise line with the most regional departures, we have lots of untapped opportunity.
“The role has been created with an initial focus on London Cruise Terminal to identify new agent partners and identify growth opportunities with existing partners before extending to Ambassador’s regional ports across the UK.
“There is a big market for our affordable quality product, and we are fully committed to supporting our valued trade partners with the knowledge and resources they need to succeed.
“Peter is well-respected in the industry with extensive knowledge of the trade, and he will be instrumental in supporting our trade partners and driving forward our ambitious goals.”
