Agent issues appeal after overnight burglary

An agent has appealed for information following an overnight burglary at her Lancashire branch.

Caitlin Grime managed to carry out repairs to The Departure Hub in Oswaldtwistle to avoid missing business during peaks after its window was smashed and the outlet ransacked.

The break-in took place in the early hours of Monday morning.

She posted on Facebook: “Luckily we keep no cash or expensive items in the shop over night so they haven’t got away with anything of value.”

Grime appealed for any information and CCTV images from the area in a bid to identify the culprits who drove off in a white van.

She added: “We don’t stay down for long, that’s for sure. New wind fitted, shop cleaned up and ready to open again.

“A setback as it’s happened at our busiest time of year but one we will definitely bounce back from with the support of our amazing customers.”
