CWT Digital sets up India centre to support expansion

Travel technology provider CWT Digital has set up a support unit in India to help cope with business expansion.

It has doubled its development and operations resource in reaction to major customer wins for its cruise and dynamic packaging platforms.

The Brighton-based company has established a division in Hyderabad to offer 24-hour support.

The international expansion will allow CWT Digital to increase its programming resources at a faster rate with the primary programming team continuing to be based in Brighton.

Managing director, Dan Caplin, said: “Providing a version of CWT Digital’s dynamic packaging platform for Tui-owned Hotelopia to operate easyJet holidays, was the initial catalyst for expansion.

“This win has been followed by a major upturn in travel industry demand as the UK market continues to expand.

“CWT Digital has been expanding rapidly, and to increase our potential labour pool, we decided on a dual location strategy between Brighton and Hyderabad.

“This has enabled us to expand the team rapidly whilst maintaining a high quality of resource. All front-end customer management and complex product design will remain based in Brighton.”

He added: “There is no point delivering a platform to a customer unless there is also a robust plan to drive customer flows via search engines, email, social media and above-the-line brand marketing.

“CWT Digital believes it can play a major role here by working with all elements of a customer’s team.

“Realistically this is best delivered by face-to-face meetings with customers; hence a local market team for UK customers is vital.”
