THOSEawfully competitive chaps at Norwegian Cruise Line, sales supremo Nick Sharps and marketing maestro Jim Millward, are at loggerheads again.
Backchat readers may remember their last run-in, when Millward won a sweepstake on the results of Travel Weekly’s Globe Awards.
The hard-headed realist beat his rival by one point, because he forecast that P&O Cruises would win the Best Cruise Company award, while Sharps loyally plumped for NCL.
This was the cause of much bitterness on Sharps’ part – but right now, he is the one that’s celebrating.
His team, Sharp Shooters have just won the runner-up prize in the cruiseline’s fantasy football league.
“The Millstars came last,” a triumphant Sharps told Backchat.
Millward lost no time in hitting back. “I want to make my own statement to the press,” he said gravely.
“Nick lives in a fantasy land, so fantasy football is the only game he can actually win.
“In the real world, my team Derby County beat his, Leicester City, both home and away last season, and came higher in the Premier League.”
