FSS has restructured its management team and created an e-commerce division to cope with massive growth.
Non-executive director Michael East has been promoted to chairman of the systems supplier and will focus on future strategy while former chairman Ed Spiersbecomes group chief executive. Marketing director Ian Champness has been appointed e-commerce director and will focus on developing the company’s leisure distribution system.
Spiers said: “Michael’s appointment will give me more time to drive the business at the front end, allowing him to concentrate on developing the longer term strategic and business structure.”
East said the growth of the company following the acquisition of Travellog last year and the leisure GDS plans had meant the company needed to restructure. The company now has 140 clients.
