Former House of Fraser CFO joins Elegant Hotels

A former deputy chief executive and chief financial officer at House of Fraser and executive chairman at Jessops has been named as a non-executive director of Caribbean hotel group Elegant Hotels.


David Adams is currently chairman of off-licence and convenience store company Conviviality, a senior independent director at Halfords and Hornby, and non-executive director at Fevertree Drinks.


He will be appointed chairman of the remuneration committee at Elegant Hotels.


Steve Baldwin, currently a non-executive director, will become senior independent director and remain as chairman of the company’s audit committee.


Elegant Hotels chairman, Simon Sherwood, said: “We are delighted that David has agreed to join the board of Elegant Hotels.


“His considerable experience across a variety of consumer-facing businesses will be invaluable as we continue to establish ourselves as a listed company and pursue our long-term expansion plans.”
