CARNIVAL Cruise Lines is increasing the number of short-break options offered in its summer cruise programme from next month.
A total of 16 itineraries of less than five nights will be available on seven ships. This compares with eight itineraries on four ships last summer.
“While seven-night itineraries remain the best sellers in the UK, this business has increasingly been supplemented by sales of shorter itineraries,” explained Carnival’s UK sales and marketing director Lynne Narraway.
“This reflects the general trend of people taking short holidays in addition to their one major trip. A three or four night cruise fits within the framework of a seven-night holiday, and also gives first-timers an opportunity to try out the product for a short time.”
Short break prices lead in at £192 per person (plus £62 port charges) for a four night cruise to the Bahamas on Fantasy.
