Sunworld fails to shine any light on me!


BECAUSE of ‘building work’ we needed to contact Sunworld’s operation department to make a change of property.



I tried all day Monday to no avail, the telephone was just engaged. I faxed on Tuesday. No reply. I got somebody to dial all day Wednesday, all day Thursday and three of us tried on Friday morning. Meanwhile our unhappy holidaymaker is stomping all over us, accusing us of ‘doing nothing’. I rang sales for help! The doormouse I spoke to ‘couldn’t do anything’ except advise me to send an e-mail at 4pm, which he couldn’t guarantee anyone would read.



We got through to admin and were told to do the change on the system. Doh! No flight seats, so how do you do that? I sent ten faxes screaming ‘ring me, ring me.’ I spoke to Claire Blackburn in headquarters who promised me a call back from operations.



Eventually I was called back. The price had gone up sorted out to our satisfaction. All in all it was a good Monday to Friday job for an extra £7.80 commission.



Oh yes, I forgot to tell you. Just for fun I phoned the Sunworld direct number and was through in 22secs! Funny old game isn’t it?
