GOLDEN Tulip Worldwide is to add six new properties to its portfolio.
The expansion will include three Tulip Inns and a Golden Tulip Hotel in France and also two new Golden Tulip hotels inGermany.
The hotels will officially be included in the consortium from July this year.
The six additions will represent the group’s desire to build up its branding in both of the two countries, particularly France.
The six properties are the Golden Tulip Le Pera and the Tulip Inn Eiffel Capitol in central Paris; the Tulip Inn Rouen in Normandy; the Tulip Inn Biarritz Louisane in the Basque region; the Golden Tulip Schlosshotel Monrepos, which is 35km from Stuttgart; and finally the Golden Tulip Hotel Gutsmann, which is 45km from Hamburg.
Director of marketing for Golden Tulip Worldwide Ruth Dawson said: “Historically Golden Tulip Worldwide has enjoyed a greater presence in other European countries compared to France.
“However, recently we’ve made significant European additions and the French portfolio has developed into one of our strongest in central Europe.”
Golden Tulip Worldwide has increased its room occupancy in France from 33,608 in 1997 to 48,648 in 1998.
