Haslemere Travel managing director Gemma Antrobus has completed a management buyout of the Surrey agency.
Antrobus, who is chairwoman of Aito Agents, has been managing director since 2008 and previously worked in hotel management in Kenya and Jamaica.
Haslemere Travel was established in 1988 by Andrew and Di Brownrigg, with Andrew Brownrigg vacating the managing director role and becoming chairman in 2008 when Antrobus took up the position.
Antrobus said: “This is a very exciting step for me personally and professionally.
“I feel privileged to be taking on the stewardship of such a renowned agency and I am looking forward to the future, working alongside our talented and enthusiastic team of consultants in Haslemere and homeworkers across the country.”
Along with a retail shop, Haslemere Travel has a division of homeworking consultants based across the country, launched in 2012.
Antrobus has served on the Aito Agents’ Panel for six years.
