Jet2.com will mark International Women’s Day today with a flight operated entirely by women.
The 4.30pm Amsterdam flight from Leeds Bradford Airport will be checked-in, loaded, boarded, pushed back and crewed by 12 women.
The captain, first officer, duty manager, cabin crew, ramp team, dispatcher and passenger service agents are all female.
Louise Iveson, the Jet2.com First Officer on today’s flight, said: “We’re all thrilled to have been part of this unique flight.
“It’s fantastic that Jet2.com has helped us mark International Women’s Day and celebrate the great work we women do in powering flights and providing a great experience for our customers.
“I hope today has shown other women wanting to join the industry that there is nothing stopping them from achieving their ambitions.”
