Expanding independent chain Spear Travels has completed the acquisition of West Midlands-based Broads Travel Group.
The deal includes branches in Lichfield and Sutton Coldfield and takes the number of Spear Travels Group outlets to 13.
All staff have been retained and the business will continue to trade as Broads Travel in its current locations.
In addition, Broads Business Travel and the fast-growing Broads Cruise Division will remain, with plans for future growth in their local catchment areas.
Speaking on the acquisition, which was completed on June 1, Spear Travels managing director Peter Cookson said: “We have a growth strategy to open branches in affluent market towns across the UK.
