NYC & Company, New York City’s destination marketing organisation, has unveiled a new website and updated branding.
Fred Dixon, president and chief executive of NYC & Company, said: “New York City now has an enhanced, innovative tourism website and vibrant, updated branding to match our world-class, five-borough destination.”
Developed in-house, the website was first launched in 2009, and the relaunch is the first in a series of enhancements.
New features include an increased video presence with more than 200 videos, real-time responsiveness to trending topics and a flexible platform to serve multiple audiences.
To help visitors to plan trips, there are integrated e-commerce partners such as Booking.com, Viator.com, OpenTable.com and Broadway Inbound.
One of the new NYC typefaces is currently featured in a global advertising campaign called See It for Yourself in key international markets such as the UK, Australia, Austria, Brazil, France, Germany, Italy, Norway and Spain.
NYC & Company’s main brand colour, black, is paired with colours inspired by the city’s famous attractions, such as yellow taxi cabs and the green of the Statue of Liberty’s copper.
The brand overhaul unifies NYC & Company’s business-to-consumer and business-to-business efforts.
As well as the website, the new look can be seen on marketing materials, guides, maps, trade show booths, business cards and NYC & Company events.
