Brand USA invites agents to inaugural Insight event

About 250 travel agents, suppliers and destinations are expected to meet this autumn at a new event designed to showcase the US to the UK travel trade.

Brand USA’s Insight event will take place in partnership with Visit USA and US Commercial Services at London’s BFI IMAX theatre on September 15.

The evening will include a trade fair and a showing of Brand USA’s big-screen film commissioned to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the National Parks Service, America Wild: National Parks Adventure.

Travel Weekly is the official media partner, and will moderate a panel discussion during which US experts will discuss the market to America and the challenges and opportunities facing the trade.

Gerry Boyle, UK & Ireland travel trade director for Brand USA, said: “We are excited to be launching the inaugural Insight: A Travel Showcase event in partnership with Visit USA and in conjunction with the US Embassy.

“This is a special collaboration bringing together all aspects of the industry who have a part to play, and a conversation to have, about travel to and within the United States.”

He added: “We invite all travel professionals, from frontline sales to homeworkers, and from reservation staff to product managers, and all suppliers to the USA – airlines, hoteliers, product, attractions and destination representatives – to come and join us, share their perspective and meet other members of the travel industry.

“Insight is about getting involved in the conversation and learning from the vast knowledge that will be brought together. We want to encourage those who are looking to learn more about the USA and increase their product to join us and get involved in the conversation.”
