EasyHotel today confirmed the completion of a deal to buy land for a new hotel in Barcelona.
The super budget chain was granted planning permission for a 204-room property last month.
The hotel is expected to open in early 2018. It will be located on Gran Via, the main avenue of L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, in the Spanish city.
The Barcelona property is part of a pipeline of new hotels planned for cities including Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham and Ipswich.
Further franchise hotels are earmarked for Amsterdam, Dubai, Lisbon, Istanbul, Reading and Germany.
