More than 400,000 more passengers have used the Liverpool John Lennon airport so far this year over the same period in 2016.
The increase of 12% made Liverpool one of the UK’s fastest growing airports and sets the airport on course for its busiest years since 2011.
The number of passengers using the airport by the end of October increased for 21 consecutive months, with 4.2 million passengers passing through in the first 10 months on 2016.
These latest figures reflect the continued upsurge in business at the Airport following the addition of a number of new routes from Liverpool.
Further is expected next year with plans by Blue Air, Ryanair, Wizz Air and Thomson to expand their Liverpool operations.
