Almost 9,000 passengers are expected to fly with Emirates from the UK on Friday – its busiest day over the festive period.
The airline expects to carry almost 20% more passengers compared to the same Christmas period last year, helped by an additional service and three Airbus A380 flights being added to the UK schedule.
The build-up started on Sunday from the airline’s UK gateways with December 16 projected to see the highest carryings across its 17 flights to Dubai from UK gateways.
The top destinations from Emirates’ five UK airports are Dubai, Bangkok, Perth, Sydney and Auckland.
A Christmas menu has been introduced for the first time across all cabin classes featuring traditional festive meals.
