WORLDSPAN has won the contract to supply global distribution systems and Internet services to consolidator Air Travel Guide.
The contract was previously held by Galileo UK, which in turn has taken over the role of GDS supplier for Going Places’ Business Travel division, previously held by Worldspan.
Air Travel Guide has taken on Worldspan’s standard Internet service provider, Gateway Plus, which will allow staff to e-mail and send files to each other and provides fast access to the Web. Going Places Business Travel division has forged a three-year agreement with Galileo UK, having been signed up with Worldspan for the past five years. The multiple arm said it had carried out a shake-up of its information technology requirements amid year 2000 considerations.
