Noel deserves credit for thought-provoking column

JOHN RHill is so wrong and rude when he describes Travel Weekly columnist Noel Josephides as boring (Travel Weekly March 29).

Every week Noel’s column is intelligent and thoughtprovoking.

If his articles do seem to be negative at times it is because there is so much wrong with our industry – note I use the word industry and not profession.

Other sectors of the economy base decisions on sound economic principles – the travel industry has an historical and even continuing pursuit of ‘market share’.

Turnover and numbers are all that matters.

Josephides comes across as a hard working, honest tour operator with respect for his own principles and a great deal of pride in his own small company.

Long may he write hiscolumn and raise industry issues that reflect theviews of many like-minded professionals.
