Windstar Cruises: the tall ship operator is carrying out a series of seven-day Greek islands cruises on Windsong, departing Piraeus and calling at Mykonos, Santorini and Rhodes in Greece, and Bodrum, Kusadasi and Istanbul in Turkey. Prices start at £3,335, including flights, plus £155 air and port charges.


Holland America Line: Rhodes, Patmos and Katakolon are included in a 12-day cruise on Rotterdam, which also calls at ports inEgypt and Israel. Prices start at £2,100 including flights, plus £174 air and port charges.


P&0 Cruises: Crete, Piraeus and Katakolon are included in a 16-night Classical Lands cruise on Arcadia. The cruise starts from and returns to Southampton after also visiting Turkey and Majorca. Prices start at £1,645, including port charges.


Cunard Line: luxury ship Sea Goddess II, which carries only 116 passengers, calls at Corfu, Itea, then passes through the Corinth Canal to Santorini, Mykonos and Athens as part of a seven-night Venice to Athens cruise. Prices start at £4,430.
