FSS is planning to provide customers with a reporting tool that hooks up to its back-office system and helps monitor business trends.
“There is a lot of data sitting in our system that can point up sales trends. Nowadays clients want to look at how many people they have booked in to a certain hotel, how many sales they have made to a certain destination or how many bookings they have taken from independent agents,” said FSS marketing director Ian Champness.
Instead of developing the software itself, FSS aims to license a product from Crawley-based software supplier Powersoft. Champness hopes to start reselling Total Reporting Solutions within three months.
The product, which is targeted at finance and marketing staff within an organisation, runs on a PC and presents trends to the user in bar charts and pie charts.
