Airtours sales hit by systems glitch


AIRTOURS’ reservation system has been criticised by agents which claimed it was difficult to access and frequently cut off midway through enquiries last weekend.



Carlson Worldchoice managing director Chris Browne said: “Saturday was poor and Sunday was disastrous. When it gets to the stage when our staff are shouting about it, it’s serious.” Aquasun Travel in Manchester also reported problems.



An Airtours spokeswoman said: “The system was up and running over the weekend. We have had no reports of problems.”
