The OAG Airline of the Year awards are being held next Tuesday lunchtime at the Meridien Waldorf Hotel in central London. Travel Weekly’s sister division OAG Worldwide hosts the expanded event in London, Washington and Hong Kong simultaneously.

Passenger numbers at London City Airport rose 17% rise last yearcompared to 1997.Managing director RichardGooding said 1.4m people used the airport, with new routes to Glasgow, Basel and Luxembourg andadditional frequenciescontributing to leap.
