Industry takes Valentine’s Day

TRAVELindustry hearts are positively throbbing with love as Saint Valentine’s Day approaches.

Backchat/Avis’ offer to send 20 bunches of red roses to people who have been nominated as totally gorgeous has been taken to heart by you.

We are happy to play Cupid and reveal the following nominees.

Sexy Ben Daniels of Thomas Cook in Weymouth gets a big thumbs up from the ladies in his office. Christine Caldwell wrote explaining just how utterly sexpot-like he is.

“Ben is 21, tall, dark and gorgeous – especially in his footie gear! He brings a little ray of sunshine into the lives of the ladies here in the office. As well as being a hunk to look at, he is a super person.”

She and colleagues Lisa, Natalie, Judith, Sharon, Becca, Kerri, Dianne and Sally (who all seconded the nomination) are so keen on this delightful (and lucky) chap that they refuse to send in a photo because they want to keep him all to themselves.

Amanda Fitch of Thomas Cook’s cities department in Peterborough has also been nominated – by a clearly smitten Lee Wright of Thomas Cook’s High Holborn branch.

“I have never met her but we always flirt outrageously on the phone. Her voice is really sexy and I would love to meet her to put a face to a name.”

But the love-struck are not always so up-front. Rebecca Holland, High Holborn’s branch manager, has been nominated by someone in her own office whose timidity prevents him from revealing his identity.

“She is so nice and chummy and touchy. When she sits next to me her legs brush up against mine and I just can’t concentrate at all.

“I think to myself could this go further but I don’t like to push things,” reveals the breathless would-be Lothario.

If you haven’t nominated anyone yet, time is running out. Write to Backchat giving the name and company of your object of desire, and your reasons for nominating them.

The address is: Red Hot Roses Offer, Travel Weekly, Quadrant House, The Quadrant, Sutton, Surrey SM2 5AS.
