SOUTHWEST agents’ consortium SWIFTA has held exploratory talks with First Choice over a possible partnership.
First Choice is looking to work with its 300 top-performing agents and is targeting the consortium after it voted to reject the Advantage franchise.
SWIFTA member Dave Criddle, of Dave Criddle Travel, said the partnership will be discussed at a SWIFTA meeting on February 23.
“Ideally, we would like to remain as ordinary Advantage members. But if it becomes clear we will be second-class citizens, we shall look elsewhere,” he said. “We do not want to run the risk of being isolated.”
Under a partnership, First Choice will reward increased sales with more commission and provide cash for a marketing campaign.
